What we look at
Why it matters to a buyer
A business built on referrals may still have an old website, missing services and access held in someone else's name.
This work gives a buyer fewer questions and can strengthen your hand in negotiation. It does not promise a higher valuation or a sale price.
A buyer will want to know that the services, reputation and access belong with the business, rather than depending on the owner's personal accounts.
Control in the business
We check domains, DNS, hosting, billing and recovery access. Where permitted, we bring them under company control and document who can act.
We also record any licence or supplier consent that a sale will need, so it does not surface for the first time when a buyer's solicitor asks.
A company name on a bill is not proof of who registered a domain, and changing the registrant and moving to another registrar are separate procedures.
Business profiles and reviews
We claim or update the Google Business Profile, and set up company pages and business handles where appropriate and available, with authorised administrators and recovery details.
Customers get a simple route to leave an honest review, with no incentives and no screening out of unhappy customers.
Google provides a primary-owner transfer that keeps the business information and reviews; newly added users face seven-day restrictions, so the timing is confirmed before completion.
A website that reflects today
We update services, photographs and information, so a new customer knows why to call and a buyer understands what the business does and why it is worth owning.
The text is written to be useful and accessible for search and AI assistants; no placement is guaranteed.
An out-of-date site leaves a buyer asking what else is missing, and an update describes the existing business honestly rather than inventing capabilities.
Enquiries that reach the business
We check the enquiry form, telephone links and company-domain email, so new work can keep arriving, and we check access to analytics and Search Console.
An enquiry route that depends on the owner's mobile number or personal inbox is one more thing a buyer would have to change after completion.
Incoming access is granted and tested before outgoing access is removed.
A documented handover
You get an inventory of providers, administrators, renewals, recovery arrangements and permitted transfer steps. Secrets are kept in a secure store, never in an ordinary report.
Access is tested, so the buyer can operate the agreed setup from day one without needing a redesign.
Only the access and rights included in the sale agreement, and allowed by each provider, are transferred.
What this work is not
This is not a rebrand and includes no social posting. Personal profiles never form part of the handover.
Company pages use platform roles, and Instagram and X transfers cannot be promised. Platform terms, licences and any required consents apply throughout.
The aim is a setup a buyer can operate as it is today, without a redesign, with the business in control wherever each platform permits it.
What you'll need to have ready
- Your results from the free online presence check.
- Your domain registrar and hosting logins.
- Administrator access to your business profiles.
What happens after
Martin Dugan leads this work, and Simon remains the first contact, so it fits the wider preparation and sale plan. It runs alongside either route; see how the programme works.
